It discusses the upcoming conference, which will be held in Melbourne from November 1-3, 2023. The theme of the conference is “50 years of innovation in cancer care: Learning from the past to inspire the future”. The disease theme will have a strong focus on breast cancer and gynaecological cancers. The equity theme will also be carried through from the previous year’s conference. Some of the topics that will be covered include the cervical elimination strategy, reducing oncology’s carbon footprint, metastatic breast cancer, fertility, and using a multidisciplinary approach to customize models of cancer care. The convenor of the conference is Belinda Yeo.

The conference is expected to attract over 1,000 delegates, including medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, surgeons, nurses, allied health professionals, and researchers. The program will feature a variety of educational sessions, including plenary lectures, symposia, workshops, and oral and poster presentations.
